A big storm inevitably brings down a lot of trees. #StormIsha wreaked havoc across the country last night. We work with a lot of local councils, and we know that their tree teams 🌳👷 will be having a very busy time now clearing up in the aftermath.

Residents🧑‍🤝‍🧑join the movement to plant more trees🌳in local streets It's great seeing so many people take an active role greening their neighbourhoods through sponsorship! Residents get to say where they'd like a tree planted🌳and opt in to water🚿

Something missing🤔? There's literally tens of thousands of miles of UK roadside where trees🌳could be planted. Some locations easier than others. The scale of the urban forest that could be planted is immense Let's create a national street forest 🌳 👉treesforstreets.org

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. RT if you agree 🌳

Did you know swifts spend just three months of the year in the UK? The arrive in May from central Africa before departing in July. They eat, drink, sleep and mate on the wing, only landing to breed. Let us know if you spot any. #SouthDowns #Wildlife
