This mentality that it is noble to go to work sick/push through despite our body’s need to heal & recover is destroying our society and our schools. Teachers should not have the burden of a school’s entire ability to function on their shoulders @CobbSchools
Parents don’t just feel like we’re being gaslit. We ARE being gaslit. We are not crazy, but I feel like I’m in an alternate universe any time I read anything about Cobb schools.
Especially since (k-12) schools don’t “teach” CRT. It’s a framework and an imaginary threat to the education system.
There are more laws against schools teaching Critical Race Theory than schools that teach Critical Race Theory.
If you’re into podcasts, this one is a good one. Looking forward to reading @ClintSmithIII new book. As a former Prince George’s county teacher myself, I’m especially inspired by his work. And @BreneBrown does a fantastic job, as always, facilitating this beautiful conversation.
