How much cap space does each NFL team have stored in void years? (Listed next to each team logo is their Super Bowl odds)
This is a great move. Two very smart football minds. Plus it’s a guy Woody is familiar with in Tannenbaum and one of the leaders of the Commanders recent HC/GM search. Happy for the 33rd Team as well!
Jets are retaining The 33rd Team to support them on their upcoming general manager and head coaching searches. Former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum and Vikings general manager Rick Spielman will lead the project for the NFL Technology and Media company. The 33rd Team…
That’s Jared Verse’s DROY moment. He just did that to a 6’8 360+ lb man
Theoretically, if they actually cared about this why wouldn’t they wait one more week? It would guarantee that Lock can only play a max of 6/17 ≈ 35.2%. He would also then need an avg of 0.36 more PTDs and 48.6 more yards a game to reach the other incentives. Unserious tweet.
The Poona Ford extension/FA contract is going to be a joyous day for the NFL community
The top 5 players in pass rush win rate at defensive tackle this season.
A mid-November injury guarantee benching, which I honestly think speaks more to Daboll and Schoen’s job security than the “owner speak” Mara has outright come out with
Deemed a football decision, it also protects the team from next year’s $23 million injury guarantee.
The Bills just did what the Jets didn’t have the guts to do earlier. And they’re gonna win because of it. Just goes to show you the difference in coaching.
No mention of the non-guaranteed 2025 option bonus that, if exercised, would result in 2026 featuring the largest single-season dead cap hit in NFL history ($63M)
From @NFLGameDay: The question of whether #Jets QB Aaron Rodgers returns is a complicated one.
There’s no way this is true, right?
Inside the details of the new deal for 49ers CB Deommodore Lenoir. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…
McVay’s clock management looks like that of a HC that’s about to retire. Jeez.
Wow. $8.35M APY puts him above D’Andre Swift as the 9th highest paid RB. Good for Hubbard and I get Brooks is a sunk cost, but he hasn’t even played a snap in the NFL yet!
Sources: The #Panthers have locked in one of their young stars, agreeing to terms with RB Chuba Hubbard on 4-year, $33.2M contract extension. He gets a max value of $37.2M with $15M in new fully guaranteed money. 💰 💰 💰
Good for the Jets to be able to get something for Mike Williams. Wish him the best in Pittsburgh, but it just wasn’t working out in NY
My guess is the draft priors being recent and multiple years left of control. But a 4th… wow
Herbert’s a PFF darling with starting experience, but still great process by Poles and the FO to get a pick for a 3rd string RB with an expiring contract
Absolutely a steal. One of the more underrated guys in the league. And Daniel nails this completely on the head— he would’ve made more in this weak upcoming FA class
I really like this deal for Denver. Cooper was trending towards being the top edge on the open market, which likely would’ve commanded 20+ APY. Now he’s locked in at 15 APY for the next 4 yrs. That APY ranks 19th on the edge market, which is a steal for an emerging 26 yr old.
And the Browning trade suddenly makes all the more sense— excited to see the numbers for one of the NFL’s most underrated EDGEs
Per source: the Broncos signed emerging pass-rusher Jonathon Cooper to a four-year contract extension over the weekend. Cooper has 5.5 sacks in nine games for the Broncos. Denver locks up Cooper while securing a sixth-round pick from Arizona for free agent-to-be Baron Browning.
The Ojulari bros would’ve been really cool to see in Arizona, but with Kayvon down, NYG was probably asking for too much. Browning is a good player in a down production season and was on a team with a surplus of his pass rushing archetype. Good trade for AZ
Arizona pursued multiple pass-rushers, including Giants' Azeez Ojulari, and ultimately landed on Baron Browning, one of the few players Denver was willing to trade despite their winning record.
Basically confirmation that Klint will hit the open OC market… and he’ll be the hottest name by far
#Saints assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi is expected to be the new interim coach, source said.
New test of restraint for the NY Jets just dropped
