Remember kids, when you get assigned the special kinda illegal project at work – it's not because you're on the inner circle – it's because you're the expendable fall guy weakling who will misinterpret inclusion to illicit conspiracy as the illusion of respect you crave.

Whenever Google kills a working product and attempts to merge it into something else, I imagine automobile CEOs realizing that it's so wasteful that they make both cars and trucks, when they could just merge them into one product then talk down to customers about it.

In this tweet I didn’t name anyone or even tie it to any incident. It was just a general observation of people who grift. So it’s hilarious to see how defensive some people got over it. Literal definition of “if the shoe fits”

If I ever lose relevancy, I'm going to transition into a Right-Wing grifter. It looks so easy to manipulate conspiracy theorist and people angry at minorities.

y-cruncher's BBP digit extractor will turn into a proper benchmark for v0.8.5. It's a pure SIMD/AVX workload that doesn't touch memory. Why? The CPU/memory perf gap is becoming so large that the classic Pi benchmarks are turning into pure memory tests. numberworld.org/y-cruncher/new…

Bought a cheap little USB touchscreen and learned the only(?) option for drivers on Mac costs $150 PER MACHINE. Made a little USB converter with a $1 microcontroller that remaps the touchscreen output to standard mouse/keyboard events understood by any computer. 🧵

I was about to write a long thread about yellow paint since it’s come up yet again and then I remembered, I already WROTE that thread just four months ago. Anyway, this is a relatively long thread, but hopefully it still covers most of the bases.

A lot of game devs are dunking on this, but if you're not a game dev it's probably not actually obvious why. So I thought I'd take a moment to answer a little more thoughtfully in hopes of giving gamers a little more insight on what we do.
