Last week, our graduates celebrated the end of their studies with a formal Graduation Ceremony. The celebrations continued with the Graduation Dinner at the Fairmont Peace Hotel, against the stunning backdrop of the Shanghai skyline. #everydayambitious



On Saturday, a number of our talented Music students attended an event at the new leisure development in Panlong Tian Di. Against a classical backdrop, the students performed to the community and received a warm welcome from local residents. #everydayambitious



On Thursday evening, the Year 13 IB students, parents, family and friends gathered in the Secondary Auditorium to attend our Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony. It was a fantastic evening with music, speeches and applause. Congratulations to our Class of 2023! #everydayambitious



On Wednesday 17 May, Pre-Nursery students participated in their Pre-Nursery Sports Day event. It was a fantastic event, with the pupils performing brilliantly. They displayed determination, perseverance and a great amount of effort. #everydayambitious



In an effort to help our parents to better understand the TOK course, we hosted a TOK workshop for parents on 12 May 2023. The workshop was held in the IB Academy, ensuring that the parents had a true feel of how their children engage with their studies in the Diploma Programme.



Recently, the Year 10 Biology class delved into the fascinating world of the eye. The lesson provided students with an in-depth understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the eye and its essential role in our daily lives.



Year 3 children have been getting creative in STEAM. The students have been learning all about chocolate and sold some of their tasty treats to Secondary staff and students during break time. All proceeds from the sales went towards The Rainforest Trust. #everydayambitious



Artistic talent at its best! Year 5U have some budding artists! The children have taken inspiration from Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusuma and Katsushika Hokusai to create their own masterpieces! #everydayambitious



Earlier this week, one of our Year 6 students, Claire Liu, used the "Ask MIT" tool on Global Campus to ask the fascinating question, "Why can we hear ourselves think?". This was an incredible opportunity for our students to engage with experts and to continue being inquisitive.

Our Pre-Nursery students have been to the Evergreen Residential Community. They spent time with the residents, singing songs and playing games. It was a heart-warming experience for all, and we are proud of our little ones for spreading joy and happiness. #everydayambitious



On Monday, children, staff and parents from BISS Puxi, enjoyed a day of fun coronation filled activities. There was music and celebrating as well as a special performance from some of our talented music students. #everydayambitious #NordAngliaEducation



Year 5 have loved sewing this week! They started out by sewing a sock using some simple stitches for Dobby, the house elf in Harry Potter. Later in the week, they learnt different types of more complex stitches. What an amazing skill to have! #everydayambitious


It is with great pleasure that we extend our congratulations to the Year 4 Red House for their outstanding achievement in winning the Global Campus Rube Goldberg Challenge across all Nord Anglia schools worldwide! Well done, Year 4! #nordangliaeducation #everydayambitious



Students of BISS and the Shanghai Dutch School contributed at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce Gala by performing on piano and reading Dutch poems. #everydayambitious #NordAngliaEducation



BISS Talks - Over several weeks, with the support of the English and EAL departments, each pupil researched, wrote, and presented their speech to their own form group who then voted for the best one to go forward to the finals. They were all very impressive! #everydayambitious



BISS girls competed last weekend at the CISSA volleyball tournament held at SASPD. They played with grit and determination and came away with two convincing wins against SCIS-HQ and SSIS-Suzhou, narrowly losing their other matches. #everydayambitious



‘Conflict: Healing the scars of the past’. This was the bold theme underpinning debates in the three committees running at the Wellington MUN on 24 and 25 March. Eighteen delegates and two chairs represented our school. #everydayambitious



BISS LIONS SCHOOL OF DANCE | This week, over one hundred of our students took to the stage in a wonderful performance with the BISS Lions School of Dance. The dancing and singing performances were brilliant and the school is so proud of everybody involved. #everydayambitious



Prior to completing a subject knowledge audit of what they have learnt about the USSR under Stalin, Year 11 History students worked together to complete a Tarsia puzzle focused on key vocabulary. #everydayambitious #NordAngliaEducation
