Hundreds are queuing in chilly drizzle outside the West Kowloon court for the 404 seats for the public — including 5 in the main courtroom. The queuing started on Saturday night with more than a dozen of those standing in front masking their faces and avoiding media.

After years in this business, I'm pretty hardened. I've seen many horrors. But watching people being burned alive last night, stretching out their hands for help. A man in a hospital bed with an IV attached going up in flames. It felt like a new horror, akin to a vision of hell.

[For @AFP] Thousands march across the United States in solidarity with Palestinians, marking a year since the start of the war in Gaza. In Washington, a man set himself in fire in protest. barrons.com/news/man-sets-…

In Washington DC, more than a thousand protesters marched to demand an end to US support for Israel this evening, marking almost a year since the war in Gaza began with vocal calls for a ceasefire. One protester attempted to self-immolate at the demonstration.
