I’m preemptively going to join an ALS grief group. I’m doing ok, I just want to be prepared. I was told today that grief looks different for caregivers of people with ALS as we grieve along the way. Anyone have any thoughts or experience they want to share? #EndALS
“When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras" - and though Caregiver’s try desperately to believe they are thinking horses, there are those moments, when they know, deep down inside that the hoofbeats they are thinking about are stampeding Zebra’s. #EndALS #IYKYK…
This girl found a note folded up in the back of her dad’s drawer after he died and it said “only open after my death” and she was so scared to open it, and when she did it was the secret to beat the Cracker Barrel peg game lol
Seeing all the content from Token2049 has me feeling the opposite of FOMO. Feels like so many in the space have lost the plot. Parties in strip clubs, airplanes and huge spend in the name of "marketing" Let's get back to the cypherpunk roots of crypto. Bring back the focus on…
Sept 26: You stopped breathing Sept 27: We learned you wouldn’t wake up Sept 28: Willa turned 9 Sept 30: We held your hand for the last time Oct 1: I turned 40 As we face these awful anniversaries, we are so grateful to Eddie for remembering our Chris. ❤️ youtu.be/43ck9_plXJI
Friendships in the ALS community are different. We love harder because we know loss, we forgive easier because we have seen the bigger picture, and we hug a little tighter because we never know when that will be the last one. #EndALS
my HOA sent me a complaint about weeds being in my front yard and they took a picture of me….pulling the weeds…..and sent it to me saying I needed to do something about it ???? omfg
Many memories popped up recently from the months following my ALS diagnosis 6+ years ago. It would be easy to look back & be angry because of what ALS has taken from me. Instead, I’m filled with so much gratitude for all ALS has given me in my life. Life’s all about perspective.
Yesterday I learned about the deaths of a 13-year-old boy and a 77-year-old pediatrician. The latter specialized in childhood cancers. The boy specialized in being a kid. ALS took both of them. Keep at it #ALS/#MND researchers. Keep at it. Thank you for working to #EndALS.
You know... I get the anger in ALS. I had it too, mostly in private in my house or venting to friends. The toxic positivity is another story though. Don't get that. People need to feel their feelings, and there's a whole range that come with ALS. #EndALS
If building businesses was possible by taking breaks on weekends and worrying about mental health, everyone would be running successful businesses. Core requirement of starting a company is: Do you have the balls to make your life so miserable that you want to achieve the goals…

Today I was thinking about all the people we have lost too early to ALS. None of us know when our last day will be. For many that is scary but for me it is reason to get up everyday and help to end ALS. Good night moon.
We are 12 years removed from Obama and Romney debating 3 times. It doesn’t matter what you think of them, they were both objectively highly intelligent and capable people…..which is what you would expect from people vying for the most important job in the world. There was no…
Repeat after me, chronically ill and disabled people are entitled to fun. They are entitled to concerts, they are entitled to holidays, and they are entitled to use the toilet whenever they need to. If you disagree with this, YOU are the problem.
The perspective of those who pass within 2 years of diagnosis is invisible in ALS discourse. People in this position need cures and large-effect drugs, not "hopes." It's not just the death coming quickly; it's the pace of accruing disabilities that makes this so nightmarish.
What is motor neurone disease (#MND)? In MND nerve cells called motor neurones become damaged and die. The death of motor neurones stops muscles from receiving messages to move. Muscles become weak and eventually are no longer able to function. #GlobalMNDAwarenessDay
