At my neurology appointment to discuss last round of tests. First question: "Did you get your MRI done? Because we don't have any reports back." So, that's one way to start.

Several weeks off from running (and exercise, in general) = Rough morning on the elliptical.

Time for the annual MRI. Since it is cold and sleeting/raining outside, maybe the tube is a suitable place to be this evening.

On Friday, I'm off for my annual MRI. This begs the ultimate question: what @pandoramusic station do I listen to while in the tube?

On Tuesday, I underwent another EMG as I begin my annual round of testing. Small shocks and needle pricks. Never gets old.

Hoping the reduction also has an effect on reducing any side effects, too. So hard to sort through symptoms versus side effects sometimes.

So far, so good. May be some uptick in nerve pain throughout the day, but nothing intolerable yet. And not all pain is bad (or the same).

Seems like a small change, but it goes from 2700mg per day to 1800 mg. Over the course of a day, week, month...it all adds up.

Decided to experiment (again) with reducing my prescription intake. Gabapentin has been up to 900mg, 3X a day. Reduced by 1/3 to 600mg, 3X.

Well, this is a little concerning. I've been on Gabapentin for a long while, partially because it was deemed "safe". So, what now?

SO READY for the cool weather we're supposed to get in Fall.

This weekend was blazing hot. Tried to stay cool when outside, with pretty good success. But still had one dizzy spell and regular tingling.

All in all, things are fine. Annoying symptoms but nothing debilitating. I work, I play with the family, I occasionally run. Life is good.

Tomorrow I go to my primary care doctor for a six month follow up. Of note, apparently my calcium levels are high in my blood. 🐄

So far, the wait and see approach has gained me a diagnosis of Raynaud's. Which is caused by...well, we don't know yet. So let's wait & see.

But health situation remains the same. Same issues, meds for the symptoms, and lots of "wait and see" approaches to a diagnosis.

Have taken a long break from writing anything on the blog. Or anything that isn't for work, really. Been trying to focus on other things.

Still at airport. Overheard from man on the phone: "Something's wrong. My dog is shitting all over the airport." Fact check: True.

Current situation.
