@AnnieLyall_ rounds up this week's highlights in contemporary culture for @cultured_mag culturedmag.com/article/2023/0…

Thank you @cultured_mag for the opportunity to write about a perverse and peculiar moment in art history that I've been obsessing over for quite some time! culturedmag.com/article/2023/0…

Digging deep into Nancy Spero's work and came across "We are Pro-Choice", a 1992 print she made for a traveling group exhibition, "The Abortion Project." Obsessed.

So thrilled to have been a part of the incredibly talented book team who made "It's All About the Girls" a huge success & lifelong memory! Humbled, inspired, & moved by the astounding alumni of @StudentLeadNet--it's ALL about YOU! Book now out and available for sale on Amazon!

The totem of unity we all need right now. An 18-foot-tall sculpture of a mother figure on view near the southeast entrance to Central Park moved me, so I wrote about it for Arte Fuse! @PublicArtFund artefuse.com/2022/09/16/bha…

Every time I tweet (which is never) I get oddly excited as if I've just hacked a make-believe code and deserve a small reward like a piece of candy, but then nothing (at all) happens.

A retired pharmacist I met at my local coffee shop last winter (who occasionally gives me unsolicited medical advice) just introduced me--via a blue thumb drive he handed me--to his latest creative venture: songwriting. He's soon to release a bluesy love song and it's damn good.

“The heroes and heroines of our time are the quiet, serious, obsessively hardworking people whose cumbersome abstentions from wrongdoing and sober avoidances of personal display have a seemliness that is like the wearing of drab colors to a funeral.” —Janet Malcom

(A few) words on gentrifier gyms, lower Manhattanites, and browned bananas now in The Drift.

Absolutely incredible on the ground reporting from the brave and eloquent @clarissaward My heart goes out to the Afghan people.

Amazing piece from the brave @clarissaward, reporting from Kabul as the Taliban take over. Proud to run her spots on my show, honored to call her a colleague.

BREAKING: We are deeply disappointed at the Biden Administration's decision to maintain the historically low Trump-era refugee cap of only 15,000 refugees annually. We're calling for an increased admissions goal in light of unprecedented global need. More: rescue.org/press-release/…
