SEO tip for you: Do not get sad or happy after an algorithm update, focus on next year's targets. All updates pass eventually. All rankings are rented, they are not permanent. A strategy can't change based on 5 days of rankings. Focus on 20 years of search principles.

Seeing more and more of these multi-page microsites in Google -- reminder if you 'rank' for "sichuan peppercorns substitute" when users click the filter bubble, your data will still show up for just the query "sichuan peppercorns" b/c the url query string doesn't actually change

Sometimes I spend hours in Google sheets trying new formulas to do cool stuff, and I end up using the original version. But, I learn a lot along the way, so that's ok. Never stop playing, learning, and challenging yourself.

SEO is great, but it is my belief that there is nothing more important than the user experience. After all the changes that continue to happen in the SERP landscape, we worked so hard to get potential customers to the site, let's not lose them!

This is my standard response now when I get invited to a speaking/writing/judging opportunity, no matter how great that opportunity is. Depending on their response, I'd usually then send them recommendations for awesome diverse folks to add to their line-up. It's that easy ✔️

✨Internal linking tip✨ Your anchor text should be *abundantly obvious* as to what the next page is about. That's because it helps screen reader users to quickly navigate the page. And sure it also has SEO benefits blah blah blah. Here's an activity you can try with clients:

Most tech SEO problems are not problems at all, until they are, in which case they are often huge problems. That's why you still have to check *everything* - you never know what you'll find and never just assume "it's fine"!

Today in @aleyda's #SEOFOMO chat @areej_abuali brought up that she has not seen any impact from CWV work. I have always been skeptical that there would ever be MEASURABLE impact from work on speed, but now that it's been a few months, can anyone point to impact?

Don’t waste too much time trying to dissect how Google’s algorithm works. Just focus on what it’s trying to do: provide the best answer to searchers’ questions.
