11/7/2024: 12 Adolescent Girls & Young women (AGYW) received startup kits to support financial independence. Funded by PEPFAR through USAID LPHS Ankole/Acholi project, implemented by TASO, a total of 1,015 AGYW will be reached in 2024.
Associate Professor David Meya from the College of Health Sciences at Makerere University has been appointed Chair of the 0.R Tambo Africa Research Chairs Initiative (ORTARChI). The appointment will attract USD 170,000 annually for 5 years for graduate research.Congratulations!

Today @MinofHealthUG updated journalists on HIV prevention, new PrEP technologies, and Lenacapavir research. We’re adopting these global advancements as part of our National HIV Prevention Strategies to combat the HIV prevalence of 5.5% and 38,000 new infections reported in 2023.
