Because it's a fucking ongoing plague, tf you think this is? Wear a respirator and stop spreading the plague.
Why is she this much of a fashionista but wears masks?! 💀😭
Biden administration had four years to upgrade indoor air quality, educate the public about CO2 levels, standardize HEPA filtration, normalize wearing masks. Instead they normalized COVID, allowed h5n1 to spread , and now they hand a loaded gun back to Trump
277 dairy herds have now been confirmed to be infected with H5N1 bird flu in California, affecting a quarter of the state's dairy herds, according to USDA.
this app is dying, and i'm here less and less, but i published another book today. I FEED HER TO THE BEAST duology is complete with I AM THE DARK THAT ANSWERS WHEN YOU CALL. 🌚🖤

once again, really urging people to get a library card if you haven't already - and not just that, i'm begging you to USE your library resources. show up. though they're important, we do way more than just books. libraries are spaces that allow community building and care.
If you are not already aware, Odessa, TX has made it legal to sue trans people for "being in the wrong bathroom" for 10k by cis people. Please be careful not to stop when passing through and for those trans folks who live in Odessa I am so sorry.
Reading is always political because your ability to read is something your women ancestors fought for you to have, and more you don’t see reading as a privilege, the easier it is for the same people who suppressed your ancestors to do it again
i've seen that sales for dystopian books have spiked, so if you're craving them, PLEASE focus on those written by marginalized authors, especially BIPOC. here are a few recommendations!

Thread of COVID PPE deals for the Month of September 🍎:
okay but lets really talk about this. there is a difference between buying them and supporting them. dont just start another wave of buying bipoc without putting actual marketing dollars, for example, behind us AND doing research on how to reach our target audience
Editors: when you’ve had time to mourn, I want to see you move every BIPOC and queer submission to the top of your reading pile. Then *buy them.* Publish them. Fuck the celebrity books. Fuck performative mswl lists. Actually BUY them. Give me faith in something. Have courage.
I’m begging yall to fund local repro orgs instead. I understand the fear that a lot of folks must be feeling but we’ve got to slow down and think. This level of individualism is why we’re in the mess we’re in. It’s time to build community care networks.
i’m so seriously about to buy a box per paycheck until i can’t anymore
Wanna resist now? Start by putting your mask back on. Fascists have already passed several mask bans. If it’s happening under Trump maybe you’ll admit that it being illegal for you to wear a mask during public health, wildfire or environmental emergencies is wrong, & fight it.
I love you guys so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭
btw when people say that you should read more, they don’t just mean theory. read anything. read everything. we are a dangerously illiterate country & anything makes a difference. form that hobby now.
this is your regular unfriendly reminder that reading has been and always will be political and you cannot distance yourself from politics just because you’re reading !!!
I know election news is on everyone’s minds today, but don’t ignore this.
Palestinians will not be allowed to return to homes in northern Gaza, says IDF dlvr.it/TG2dw1
Just a reminder that disabled people need rides to go grocery shopping, doctor’s offices, to the bar, to the cafe—not just to cast a ballot that impacts you.
the CDC went from saying there's no risk of H5N1 human transmission to listing the symptoms. I'd start listening to disabled people about pandemics yesterday if I were you.
