Sharing this newly published article on geography, higher education and feminist activism in South Africa written with doctoral students. Thank you co-authors and especially @AliceEunjung for co-leading and coordinating us over the years!

I’m excited to share this work published @GPCjournal with @AmaliaDache, Dr. Stephanie Hernandez Rivera, and Astrid Pickenpack.

I am super excited to share my latest article published in @RHE_ASHE with two wonderful mentors @karinaGsalazar and @garyrhoades!

Just dropped! An ahead of print by @UAZEducation PhD student @AliceEunjung & Drs. @karinaGsalazar & @garyrhoades, "Embedded Classed and Raced Academic Capitalism in an Innovative 'Solution' to College Costs." Read this new #RHE article: muse.jhu.edu/pub/1/article/…

And now @AliceEunjung is presenting (for the first time ever at an @ASHEoffice conference - and CRUSHING IT at #ASHE2022) work with @karinaGsalazar on the marketing of income share agreements at public universities. Solid analysis that leans on theories of academic capitalism.

@AliceEunjung’s first in-person presentation today at #ASHE22 You’d think she’s done this dozens of times 😉 Alice developed the foundation of this paper in my HED finance class and it’s been so much fun to be a part of with @garyrhoades Thanks @ChrisMarsicano for capturing this

#AERA2022 was my first in-person AERA. San Diego was great but I was more excited to see these wonderful people again @lcon678 @amycwang @VanessaSNa @YaGirlDrQueenB @DrSeWoongLee 💜

What a great way to start Monday morning—watching & learning from wonderful scholars @xiaojieli6 @nixtewari & Jialing Wang @PSU_EdPolicy presenting their work at @ASHE_CIHE! Your research means a lot to me—a formal MA TESOL, current Phd/ international student in the U.S. 😊👏

Amazing and wonderful scholar @AmaliaDache coming to my undergrad Org leadership class as a guest lecturer for the day! Couldn’t be happier to see her again ❤️

Waiting for my ice americano at Starbucks, my 13 year-old said out of the blue, “Could you please recap what Critical Race Theory is while waiting for your drink?” And everyone at the line looked at me. 🙄👉👈😅 #NexttimeUseDriveThrough

"I don't think you can deny the fact that there has been racist rhetoric coming from positions of power where you can draw a direct line to the surge in these kinds of crimes," says actor @danieldaekim, who's fighting anti-Asian racism after attacks against seniors and others.

Hate crimes and violence against Asian Americans and Asian immigrants have skyrocketed during the pandemic. That’s why our Administration has taken actions to address these xenophobic attacks. We must continue to commit ourselves to combating racism and discrimination.

I’m glad that my daughter is pushing back the stereotypes of Asians but I think she’s just making excuses not to study..🙄 I’m learning the hard way that your child is another thing you cannot do anything about it besides this pandemic.

Um... When a student from my daughter’s 8th grade social study Zoom class brought up Trumps’s comment “stand back and stand by”, her teacher responded that we don't know for sure what it actually meant. What do we not know??? That he refused to condemn white supremacist?

Staying at a remote lodge in the mountains for summer vacation is fun and refreshing. But when your mom is still a doctoral student, you might feel like you are just tagged along on her “writing retreat”. 🤣

Caught in a sand storm, met javelina at the parking lot, saw people with no masks at Costco, had sunburn from just walking from my car to the apartment— all for the first time in my life. Oh, and the temperature of 107 before noon. What else Arizona? 😁
