Boris Johnson orders UK civil servants to access the feasibility of one of the most ambitious & costly engineering projects in history... ...a 4-way tunnel joining England, Scotland & N. Ireland feeding into an underground roundabout below the Isle of Man. - A thread -

+UPDATE+ Civil Service increasingly despairing of "Johnson's ability to focus on everyday govt" as he floats ever more stranger ideas - the latest a "giant roundabout under Isle of Man to connect UK countries via interconnecting tunnels" - as part of his "patriotic Union" plan.

Looking at the likes below, seems that Starmer's main support base is the comfortably off middle class. Interestingly he still holds a lot of Pro EU support. Will ordering MPs not to speak of Brexit be enough to persuade the working class Red wall of his pro Brexit credentials?

I mean who would ever have thought that @MattHancock's mate & local pub landlord - a man who won £30 million of procurement contracts despite having *no* prior experience making medical devices - would end up needing investigation by the MHRA? theguardian.com/politics/2021/…
