It’s unexplainable because it hits you differently everytime, however, each time it hits, I can tell you that it feels like your heart is being pierced layer after layer and the persons “love/presence” that can heal it, is now so far away and can never be felt again….idk 🙂‍↕️

You have the mic. What does grief feel like?

A drop of water falls into an empty cup. Then another, and another. Everything feels fine because the cup isn’t full. You take a deep breath of relief. One at a time, the drops suddenly cause an overflow, which breaks the cup. You are the cup The memories are the drops of water

Grief is pain. There’s nothing poetic about it. It just hurts and hurts and you consider removing your heart so it can stop but you can’t do that so you just suffer through it. You either get through it or it ruins you forever.

Grief feels like entrapment because it never goes away. A feeling you have to live with for the rest of your life because you can never forget it no matter how hard you try. You don’t grieve everyday but on the days it hits, it feels fresh like the situation just happened.

grief feels like a permanent visitor. sometimes they’re quiet, you go about your day without tending to them. other days, they take all your attention. but, everyday they’re ‘there’.

Someone once compared grief to carrying a needle in your pocket. Most of the time, you go about your day without noticing it. But then, out of nowhere, you get pricked, and all the pain comes rushing back. I think that's a perfect way to describe it.

no shade to this person but can we acknowledge that it’s literally not normal to have to “network” to get concert tickets

People will really get on here and say “I did everything I could to find tickets” and they mean they signed up for presale meanwhile everyone I know that went more than once spent the entire tour networking for tickets to our friends. Emphasis on friends.

Every now and then these new age Blacks try to boot Halle Berry out of the race/community with shitty modern Twitter analysis of race. This is Halle with some of her peers. There was plenty of full Black women thriving in TV in film during and after her peak.

Halle Berry low-key started the erasure of fully black women in Hollywood but I’ll get into that another day

The way she highkey didn’t and it was plenty of black actress working alongside her in the 90s getting better roles than her back then. Save the conversation for today’s lightskin, biracial actresses
