5th Grade attended Dillon Nature Center's Conservation Day! We learned the importance of taking care of our world. We visited stations with topics like wildlife conservation and management, cultural resource conservation, prairie conservation, forestry, water quality, and soil.
Mrs.Franklin’s students learned new games and invented games to play during indoor recess. So fun!
SHE 5th graders learning life skills during our “Panther Hour” they were very excited to get to learn crochet and baked chocolate chip cookies from scratch.
Mrs. Franklin’s 5th grade hosted their Kindergarten book buddies, Mrs. Bell’s class, Friday for some reading fun. They were so excited to show the Kindergartners their classroom.
February is Black History Month and Ms. Samuelson’s 4th graders made history come alive!
The Student Leadership Team did a Valentine's Day Pencil Pull and raised over $240! Students were able to purchase pencils and some won additional prizes. The money will go towards helping SHE students and teachers.
Fifth graders in Miss Caywood's class working hard to prepare for their upcoming student-led conferences! They practiced their conferences with their kindergarten book buddy.
South Hutchinson Elementary would like to congratulate all the spellers who competed in the Spelling bee. The students winning our school Spelling Bee and are now headed to the county Spelling Bee February 17th!

Mrs. Franklin’s class learned during Panther time about positive self talk. Then made posters to hang in their lockers as a reminder!
Miss Caywood's class played Battleships while practicing their latitude and longitude skills! This will help in preparation for our upcoming Explorers unit.
Our fourth graders are working hard in music, learning and practicing note names and rhythms. They will be ready to play recorders soon!
Walk to School Day was a HUGE success! Thank you to our staff, families and community volunteers who supported our SHE students.
