I'm starting to think they don't use the word correctly. Because by their own logic, they'd be "grifting" too!
No one on the internet who uses that word actually knows the definition of the word or applies it correctly. They think making money = grifting. That's it. If you make more money than them you are a grifter. Simple as that.
